Scenario:
You want to setup delegates on the Lync Client but when you click on Tools you have no option for call forwarding.
Check:
5 days ago - Call forwarding option not shown in Skype for business client; we have E3 plan. Can you please help how can we activate Call Forwarding.
Open up the Lync Management Shell and run the following Command:
- Get-CsUser -Identity “user” | Select-Object identity,@{Name=’ AllowCallForwarding’;Expression={[String]::join(“;”,(Get-CsVoicePolicy –identity $_.voicepolicy.FriendlyName). AllowCallForwarding)}}
The returned info should look like this:
Identity AllowCallForwarding
———- ——————--
user True
If it doesn’t display true under the AllowCallForwarding section then you need to check on the Lync Server Control Panel if the user has Enterprise Voice enabled.
If you remove the Enterprise Voice option for the user the delegate access should stay.
Hope it helps.

Skype has become one of the most popular online audio and video communication systems in the world and these days, paid services such as call forwarding, SMS and Skype-to-phone are also available making the program more versatile than ever. The call forwarding feature is useful if you are not in front of the computer or another Internet-enabled device with Skype installed. It is also useful in the cases of power outages and it will help to minimize the risk of missing a call, something which can end up costing money in business scenarios.
1.Visit the call forwarding section of the Skype website and click on 'Set up call forwarding.'
2.Enter your Skype account name and password and click 'Sign me in' or press Enter.
3.Select your country from the drop-down box on the next page and enter the forwarding phone number in the text box beside that. Ensure that you enter the number including the international dialing code preceded by '00' or '+' and click 'Save' when done. Any incoming calls which you receive while you are not logged in to Skype will now be rerouted to the specified phone number instead.
Tip
- In order for call forwarding to work, you will need to have credit on your Skype account. You can also configure Skype to automatically top up your account whenever it drops too low.
Warning
- Be aware that, if a call is forwarded, you will pay for it. For the caller, it is just the same as calling from Skype to Skype.
