If your folders are still not showing, please go to the View menu and select Show Mailboxes. To show the On My Computer folders in the navigation pane, on the Outlook menu, please click Preferences. The Outlook email application works fine except for one thing: not all the Outlook folders that show up on my PC email show up on the tab. I can't figure any logic to which ones do or don't, and I can't find any way to get them all to sync and show up.
A folder in Outlook does not appear to display all of your email. Instead, only email from Today, Yesterday, or the Last 7 days is showing up. OWA (Outlook Web Access) and mobile devices correctly show all email.A View setting is likely limiting the email that is being shown in the folder. Use the following steps to reset your view settings:
Outlook 2013
1. Click on the View tab.
2. Click on View Settings.
3. Click on Filter.
4. Click on Clear All.
5. Click OK.
If all email messages are not yet showing up:
1. Click on the View tab.
2. Click on View Settings.
3. Click on Reset Current View.
4. Click OK.
If you are still unable to view all email in a folder, you may have a hidden view that will need to be reset with a command line switch. Use the following steps:
1. Close Outlook.
2. Wait a couple minutes for Outlook's processes to finish and close.
3. Open the Run dialog:
a. Windows 8: Click WIN and X on the keyboard
b. Windows Vista/7: Click Start > Programs > Accessories > Run.
4. Type 'Outlook /cleanviews' (without quotes).
5. Click OK.Troubleshooting steps for missing folders containing email in Outlook
If folders are not showing in the Microsoft Outlook desktop email client, but are visible in Outlook Web App (OWA), the following two steps may resolve the problem:
1. Reset All Views in All Folders
- Close Outlook
- On your keyboard, click the Windows key + the R key to open the Run dialog box
+ R - Type Outlook.exe /cleanviewsthen click OK
- Outlook will launch; check for missing folders. If the problem is not resolved, please continue.
2. Clear and regenerate the Navigation Pane for the current profiles.
- Type Outlook.exe /resetnavpane then click OK
If neither of these options work, please open a ticket with the helpdesk. The next step will likely be to remove and re-add the mail profile via 'Mail' in Control Panel.
